IHF
The I.H.F (International Hapkido Federation) was founded bij late kuksanim Myung Jae-nam. Kuksanim Myung devoted his live to the study of martial arts and in 1988, during the first edition of the International HKD Games, he introduced his own martial art to the world. This style is now known as Hankido.
The IHF was founded in 1981. In the years after the first HKD Games Kuksanim Myung travelled around the world to promote his style and the International H.K.D. Federation. On the 3rd of august 1999 kuksanim Myung Jae Nam died in Yong-In Korea. His spirit still lives on in his art and the hearts of thousands of hapkido practioners all around the world. At the present Myung Sang Kwang, son of Myong Jae Nam, is doju (leader) of the IHF. The heritage of Kuksanim is now preserved in a organization controller by the Korean government, called Jae Nam Mu Sul Won. Dojunim Myung Song Kwang leads this organization. Technical leader (Dosu) of the IHF is grandmaster Ko Ju-sik (IHF 9th dan).
