In the last 25 years the Dutch HKD Federation as build a small multimedia archive with pictures and videos from seminars and training sessions. We would like to share some of those with you and have uploaded a few clips to youtube. In the upcoming months we will try to share as many videos with our visitors as possible.
In the videos below you can see how master Han Si-hwan taught the students of Sangmukwan, the school of master Ko Baek-yong, in South-Korea. Master Han was one of kuksanim Myung Jae-nam's first students, and the first student ever to obtain a black belt from Myung Jae-nam. During his time in the army master Han instructed soldiers and learned traditional sword fighting from a fellow instructor. He passed his knowlegde on to the students of Sangmukwan and the visiting instructors from our federation. Master Han's teaching methods were quite unorthodox but we hold fond memories of our time with master Han. Master Han passed away in the summer of 2005.
